Baptism in Horse Riding

Always imagined yourself riding a horse, but never had the opportunity? Ideal for children (minimum 6 years old) and for those who want their first experience with horses, this tour accompanied by a walking monitor is ideal for their first contact with horses. You will meet these beautiful animals and enjoy a short ride of approximately 15 minutes, an opportunity to lose your little “fears” and interact with the magnificent animal that is the horse. NOTE: We do not do pony rides.

The longevity of the breed and its strength provide an unforgettable tour in the company of your family and friends, through which you will be able to see some of the most peculiar and striking points of the area: the purity of the forest density and a characteristically Portuguese village where history has laid its roots. The religious monuments and the media village of Vilarinho das Furnas are not neglected, providing, more than visual pleasure, an educational way to enjoy sensations in a group. Horseback riding in Peneda-Gerês National Park for experienced riders who are comfortable in the saddle. Join us for an equestrian tour along the stunning trails of the Serra do Gerês, passing by the Campo do Gerês river, the Vilarinho da Furna Dam viewpoint, and the village of Campo do Gerês, among other enchanting locations. Minimum age: 14 years old Requires experience from all the participants.

Join us for a fantastic ride through the mountains and the village of Campo do Gerês, and enjoy the best scenery the National Park has to offer. Featuring a guided route of approximately 30 minutes, this low-difficulty activity is ideal for families, beginners, and anyone looking for their first horseback riding experience—all while staying safe and in touch with nature. Minimum for children: 14 years of age.

Horse Ride Tour 1 Day

Let the horse take you for a ride through unique and extremely beautiful places! Equestrian tour that requires some experience and comfort on the horse, with an itinerary along the top of the mountain, along paths and old mountain trails, going from village to village, going back to the past where the only means of transport was the horse. You can contemplate natural wonders such as Monte do Castelo, the possibility of spotting Garranos (wild horses), free-grazing animals, crystal-clear water waterfalls, the ancient roman road of Geira Romana, Vale da Albufeira de Vilarinho das Furnas and enjoy a breathtaking walk through beautiful mountain villages. We have 3 trails at your disposal, the Castle, Waterfalls and Villages Trail. This will be chosen by the monitor according to the experience of the participants.
